This two tiered garden in San Francisco uses the topography to separate the garden into two outdoor rooms. The upper level has a small lawn, playhouse, and vegetable beds surrounding an existing pine tree. The lower level is a courtyard room complete with basketball hoop and areas for play and dining. The surface is poured concrete with decorative bands of Heath tile and the surrounding walls are stuccoed planters filled with bamboo for privacy.
